I created a new project for the RadGrad system, originally called InternBit, but now called InternAloha. In ny tech report, InternAloha was designed to work with the student data from Radgrad in order to better recommend internships and opportunities to university students and make the search process much easier.
In my tech report, I research potential competitors, compare and outline features and the system design of InternAloha.
I used Javascript web scraping libraries such as Xray, Puppeteer, and Cheerio to develop scapers and collect data from the following websites: Glassdoor, Indeed, SimplyHired, and AngelList. In total I scraped around 1000 internships from the websites. Then I tagged each of the internships with relevant skills by looking for keywords inside of the listings.
